People I Hate

It's Thursday, and I have been waiting two weeks to post a PIH. (For some reason, you get dirty looks in Walt Disney World when you start ranting about people you want dead.) Well, now I'm back with a vengeance. So, let's get ready to spew bile!

Former New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey

Break out the "seminary" jokes: the disgraced Democrat and "gay American" wants to become an Episcopal priest. Really.
A church in turmoil faces a new controversy with word that James McGreevey, who made headlines as the nation's first openly gay governor, may become an Episcopal priest.

McGreevey, 49, who resigned as governor of New Jersey in 2004, after announcing he was a "gay American," couldn't be reached yesterday to respond to news reports that he had converted to the Episcopal religion and will begin seminary study in the fall.

A message left on the phone listed to his partner, Mark O'Donnell, wasn't returned last night.

McGreevey now is embroiled in a bitter divorce from his estranged wife, Dina Matos McGreevey, and a custody struggle over their 5-year-old daughter. (H/T - The Philadelphia Daily News)
Just what the world needs: another gay priest. Am I the only one who thinks this piece of garbage is a despicable human being. He resigns over a patronage scandal, tears his family apart at his disclosure and now bitter custody battle, and still finds time to try and stay in the spotlight. This is a publicity stunt, plain and simple, and McGreevey should be shunned for it.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D - OLT)

If she were really so self-righteous, she would cut off the war funding today.
WASHINGTON - House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is considering a proposal that would pay for the Iraq war through at least July but cut off funding after that if the Iraqi government does not meet certain political and security goals, Democratic officials said Thursday. (H/T - Yahoo!)
The next time the Democratic leadership tells you they care about the troops, feel free to call them frakkin' liars. If they gave a rat's ass about their welfare, they wouldn't threaten to pull the rug out from under them to make political points.

I would have much more respect for Pelosi, Reid, and their ilk if they just voted to cut off the funding. Political grandstanding on issues such as these does not exactly sending the best message to the troops. God, she's a piece of detritus!

Paris Hilton

I know: she's an easy target - Well, just plain easy - but she really pisses me off. To wit:
LOS ANGELES - Paris Hilton will have a very unglamorous new address if prosecutors get their way: the Los Angeles County jail. The city attorney's office filed documents in Superior Court recommending the hotel heiress and TV star be jailed for 45 days for violating terms of her probation for an alcohol-related reckless driving conviction.
And some network jackass will want to bring in the cameras for The Simple Life: Women in Prison.
Prosecutors also want Hilton to stay away from alcohol for 90 days and wear a monitoring device that will chart whether she complies. (H/T - AP)
The device already has a tell-all book deal chronicling the heiress-whore's drunken exploits with the rich and shameless. Just my luck: Hilton has an affinity for drunken-driving, but won't kill herself in a one-car collision with a tree. Dang.
