Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Jason Michaels finally hit something! Unfortunately for him, he hit a Philadelphia police officer.
I'll let the good folks at the Associated Press elaborate:
"He punched a Philadelphia police officer and wrestled him to the
ground, in the process ripping the police officer's shirt," Cpl. Jim Pauley said. "It took four officers to control him.
Police were dispersing a crowd in the Old City entertainment district just before 3 a.m. and everyone moved on willingly except Michaels, Pauley said.
Michaels was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, simple assault and reckless endangerment. He is due to appear in court on Thursday."
Maybe if this piece of garbage showed this kind of emotion on the field, the Phils wouldn't suck nearly so bad. I am officially done with the Phillies . . . at least until Michaels is gone.
