  1. Nice to see you got it right.
We were from Slovakia, and not from the Czech Republic, as we might have been led to believe.
I proud to be an American, most of all, but damn, they got a cool flag as well!

  2. Uncle Ray - Hey, thanks for stopping by! I have a Czech Republic flag outside (don't kill me!), only because I don't yet have one from Slovakia. Close enough to last another week. Saw the game today, and the Slovaks looked awesome!

All in good fun, of course...

    Filthy Lies About Wyatt.

  4. Those are all true facts about Wyatt Earp and I've got the NSA wiretaps to prove it.

As for Olympic hockey, well the Canadian women's team is kicking major international ass, as usual, and are expected to nabe the gold, as usual. I know it's a fact, Janet Gretzky told me it's a lock.

  5. Vox - You can rip Janet, but I'll be damned if you rip The Great One here!!! (Sorry, but I owe him money.)

The Habs will win the gold - probably - but the Men's medals are up in the air. Cripes, Switzerland beat the Czechs today!

  6. Whoohoo! My g-g-parents came from where Slovakia is now. I've never thought of myself as anything but American, but I can dig the Olde Country shining in the Olympic Spotlight. I wonder if they've got any cute figure skaters?

  7. Cowboy - I agree, I am a proud American, but since the U.S. has been mediocre at best, it's nice to cheer for my grandparents' homeland for a change.

  8. I'm sure lots of folks in The Region are happy.

  9. Sorry. The Region is the area of NW Indiana directly across from Chicago (Gary, as in Gary, Indiana, Indiana, Indiana, IndiANA! is part of The Region), and is heavily slavic.
