(B)Eagles Post-Game Wrap Up

The Philadelphia Beagles beat the Green Bay Packers tonight by a score of 31-9. I refer to my home team as the Beagles, because in my opinion, they played like dogs. Don't let the 22-point differential fool you; the Packers are a terrible team, and Brett Favre threw two interceptions and a boatload of God-awful passes. Although Donovan McNabb played well, for the most part, the Pack beat themselves. Thankfully, after watching the game together, Denny and I collected plenty of blog material. To wit:

* ESPN's MNF broadcast team of Mike Tirico, Joe Theismann and Tony Kornheiser are unwatchable (or is it "unlistenable?"). Kornheiser is the most egregious offender, especially after proclaiming the game "over" at the start of the 4th Quarter. Not the best way to hold an audience, you moron.

* Note to ESPN's sideline "reporters" Suzy Kolber and Michelle Tafoya: HDTV is not your friend! Denny kept trying to feed Seabiscuit Kolber a carrot, and I spent my night asking Denny is Tafoya was born a woman. Yikes!

* Speaking of ugly, ugly people, my city is chock full of them. Did anyone seen the fan shots during the game? These circus freaks ran the gamut from morbidly obese, drunken out-of-work carpenters to morbidly obese, drunken pregnant mothers who were smoking. It was like a trailer park exploded over Lincoln Financial Field, and it rained white trash.

This win was the worst thing to happen to this football team, because - mark my words - the media and the radio sports talk dopes will be chanting "Super Bowl" by daybreak.
