Here's another entry in the "It's Funny When It Happens To Them" file:
Pennsylvania state senator Vincent Fumo, who faces more than 100 charges in a federal indictment, surrendered on Wednesday morning to federal officials. He was to be fingerprinted before appearing before a federal magistrate.
The 267-page federal indictment (read full indictment - PDF) alleges that Fumo abused his power as a state senator and built an empire of staffers in government and in a nonprofit organization he controlled "to cater to his personal needs." (H/T - KYW)
Sure, this story is really funny, but what is even funnier - read: peculiar - is that this reporter never mentions his political party affiliation. What's even more peculiar is that in Wednesday's issue of The Philadelphia Daily News, only two of the seven Fumo articles mention his party affiliation in the first five paragraphs. Now, for the big money, can you tell me Fumo's affiliation?
I'll wait . . .
If you said that Fumo is a Democrat, you would be 100% correct!
