(CBS 3) PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia Highway Patrol Officer was injured in an accident on I-95 in Bridesburg Monday. The accident happened at about 2:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes near the Betsy Ross Bridge exit.
All lanes of traffic were closed while emergency personnel worked to clear the scene.
The injured officer was transported to Frankford-Torresdale Hospital. His condition has not been released. Further details were not immediately available.

UPDATE: The officer, who suffered a broken arm, road burns and other bruising, was reported in guarded condition at Frankford Hospital-Torresdale Campus. "Fortunately he was wearing a helmet," said Officer Yolanda Dawkins, a police spokeswoman.
