"Support Your Local Gunfighter is the best thing to happen to law enforcement since Vic Mackey."

The idiotic opinions expressed here are mine and mine alone, and in no way reflect the views of the Philadelphia Police Department. I mean, if they did, this town would be in a heap of trouble, right?

Can We Just Stop With The 9-11 Crap, Already?

The World Trade Center Massacre. Nobody cares anymore.

I am posting this a day early for a reason: I refuse to mention the 9-11 Attacks tomorrow. My personal philosophy is to point out the hypocrisy of this anniversary, and the emotions that surround it. I was snarky and obnoxious last year, and I will be today, as well. Deal with it.

Does everyone remember the September 11th attacks? Of course you do. And do you know why you do? Because on every September 11th, the media reminds us that we were attacked. Does everyone feel sad on September 11th? Of course you do. And do you know why you do? Because on every September 11th, television stations run sappy, weepy programs about the attacks on a continuous loop. Does everyone feel like a hypocrite on September 11th? Probably not. Why should a lot of you feel like a hypocrite on September 11th? Because the 9-11 attacks are in the back, back, back burner the other 364 days of the year.

"Gee Wyatt, why are you such a bitter little troll today?," you ask.

I am a bitter little troll - actually I'm 5'9", so I'm not that little - because this entire event was almost instantly morphed into something despicable. September 11th changed from something that could have united America against a seemingly unstoppable foe into a nation that would rather politicize the attacks - and America's response to said attacks - while shifting blame from the President, to the Congress, and to America as a whole. Blame America First has become a mantra for far too many people in this country, so much so that citizens, academics, and politicians are actually claiming that we brought the 9-11 attacks upon ourselves.

Are you friggin' kidding me?

Radical Islamic terrorists were responsible for the September 11th attacks, kids. Not George Bush, not our foreign policy, not little green men from Mars! And after the attacks, many people in the Middle East were celebrating. CELEBRATING! Celebrating the murder of 3,000 Americans mere moments after the towers collapsed. Many of them will probably be going to WTC Collapse parties in downtown Damascus.

And what will many Americans - on both sides of the political aisle - be doing tomorrow? They will be sodomizing the anniversary by ripping President Bush, dismissing General Petraeus' Iraq report, claiming that the attacks were an "inside job," trivializing the threat that al Qaeda poses, and using the memorials as a photo op.

So, feel free to spend your day in mourning and remembrance. I'll be mowing my lawn, playing with my PlayStation 3, and anxiously praying for the brutal, horrible, virgin-free death of every Islamic jihadist on this miserable planet.
