It's the most wonderful time of the year! Tonight is the first game of our Fall ice hockey season, and I've been spending my day getting my gear together.
*Cue sound of Ron exploding at his computer screen.*
Relax, kids, I'm not playing. I'm going to watch the game, but the equipment stays home. My knee is still injured, and even with three days of PT a week, it's still not strong enough for skating. So, I'll watch the game in the stands, while stuffing my face with bon bons. Heh.
Hopefully, we'll have enough players for the game. This is a concern because the league schedule was just released yesterday! Most people don't appreciate one day's notice for a hockey game, but I think we'll be okay. We start off the season with three Sunday games in a row, so we'll have an excuse to miss the Eagles games. They're God-awful.
After the game, we'll head to our sponsor's bar for the post-game show - which usually consists of telling each other how badly we sucked. And, of course, I would be remiss if I didn't mention our sponsor, Tony's Place in Ivyland, PA. (They have Guinness on tap!) It should be a good time. Wish us luck.
