Well, I Thought It Was Funny

Am I crazy, or was this comment funny?

The division is currently working on a missing juvenile case. The parents of said juvenile state that she is mentally challenged because she is dyslexic. Seriously. Anyway, while the assigned is fretting over the case, I figured I'd throw out a funny. To really appreciate the quote, you should know that Broad Street is one of the largest streets in Philadelphia. Anyway, I turned to the assigned and quipped:

"Yeah, she just called. She said she was on Board Street."

Personally, I thought that was a riot, but it didn't get one laugh. Did I lose teh funny, or are my co-workers too illiterate to appreciate my humor?
