Cry Me A Victory

My newest article is up at Family Security Matters, and at the risk of sounding pompous, I think this is my second really funny post in a row. Of course, I'll let you be the judge. Here's an excerpt:
This week, Hillary Clinton cried in front of New Hampshire voters (and many television cameras) in attempt to show how “passionate” she is about running for President. Many pundits saw this display as a sign of weakness – what would she do if America was attacked again, hold her breath until the terrorists were caught? – but the voters in the Granite State saw something else, and that something propelled her to victory in the New Hampshire primary.

Shocked and appalled that a few tears could win an election, other candidates are going to extreme measures in an attempt to gain the upper hand. For instance:

Barack Obama is universally considered to be a nice guy. Obama staffers know this, and also recognize the problem it causes: only a select demographic – nice people – will gravitate toward their candidate. Thus, on Super Tuesday, the Illinois senator will throw an enraged tantrum on live television. He will upend the podium, scream obscenities at the audience, and smack a puppy with a rolled-up newspaper in an attempt to gain the “grumpy old man” vote.
