It's A Banner Day

It's just like Captain America to kick a guy when he's down. While driving home from our Philly Blogopolooza, we started talking about our respective blogs - you know, about how mine is so much better than his, and so forth. Then, all of the sudden, he tells me that I change my banner too often.

"Dude," he says, "People want to see something familiar when they come to your blog. You need a permanent banner that people will recognize and respect. Like the McDonald's Golden Arches."

He needs to tell me this when I'm on a diet, right?

A normal person would shrug off this constructive criticism. Unfortunately, I am not a normal person. The Captain's comment bugged me - not because he made it, but because I think he was right. Although I am a creature of habit, I get bored rather easily. Just last week, I was drooling over Jessica Biel. This week, it's Jessica "Jinx" Simpson. I switch the top banner so often, because I get bored with it. Frankly, it's difficult to find something online that goes well with the blog, and I suck at photoshop. So, I am stuck in a conundrum.

And that's where you come in. I need some input - honest input - from my readers about this banner deal that's stressing me out to no end. Brutally honest opinions are okay, and I will not smite you if you hurt my feelings. You've got a free pass, kids, so fire away.

Here are my questions:

1. Should I stick with one banner?
2. Does anyone have an idea of something better for SYLG? (A better banner?)
3. If so, is there a banner that is preferable of the ones below - and the Gretzky one above? (Click to embiggen.)
