Sarkozy To Marry Supermodel Girlfriend

Well, that didn't take long. You may remember that the recently-divorced President of France starting dating Carla Bruni last month. Apparently, those Frenchmen move quickly.

PARIS, France (AP) -- A French newspaper said Sunday that recently divorced French President Nicolas Sarkozy may marry former supermodel-turned-singer Carla Bruni, his new girlfriend, next month.

Under the headline "Marriage Imminent," the weekly Le Journal du Dimanche reported that several sources, none of whom it identified, said the two would marry Feb. 8 or 9. The presidential palace, contacted by The Associated Press, declined to comment on the report

The report said Sarkozy gave a heart-shaped, pink-diamond ring to Bruni as a sign of their engagement in December, less than a month after they met. (H/T - CNN)

Good for him. From all reports and appearances, Sarkozy's ex-wife was an ice princess that hated America. Maybe Bruni will change all of that.
