Funniest story . . . ever!A driver crashed an SUV into a Philadelphia cemetery late Wednesday night, causing an estimated $100,000 in damage, police and cemetery officials said.
The unidentified person behind the wheel was charged with driving under the influence after crashing into tombstones at Green Mount Cemetery in the Hunting Park section of the city.
The cemetery is located at Front Street and Hunting Park Avenue. (H/T - NBC10)
The corpses were unavailable for comment.
My first patrol assignment was in the district where this cemetery is located. Believe me, you really have to go out of your way to get into this place - especially if you're doing your Kiefer Sutherland impersonation. It has fairly high cement walls, and its entrances are gated.
That being said, I have fifty bucks that this idiot will plead "not guilty" at his preliminary hearing. Takers?
UPDATE: Turns out, the offender is a broad. Go figure. Heh.
