Jesus. What the hell is happening to this country?A suspect is dead and a police officer seriously injured following a police involved shooting in Camden Monday morning.
Authorities said gunfire broke out after police responded to a domestic disturbance near 10th and Morton Streets just after 8 a.m.
Witnesses report a nude 19-year-old male armed with a knife stabbed a pedestrian near the scene for some unknown reason.
Police said a female officer confronted the suspect and a struggle ensued.
A second officer arriving at the scene opened fire on the suspect, fatally wounding him according to authorities. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
The female officer suffered undisclosed injuries in the incident and was rushed to Cooper Trauma in serious condition. Initial reports from sources said she suffered a graze wound to the head. (H/T - CBS3)
