This is my last year in law enforcement, and to be honest, I cannot wait to get out of here.
As of today, I have 361 days left until retirement, and when I am finally gone, I will be looking for other jobs, hopefully security for a college or university. I considering hospital security, but they can be as awful as the streets.
I took another year, only because they were giving up ridiculous amounts of money to stay. How could I say no?
I am on my thirty-first year in this place, and while the money is great, I really cannot say I am having fun. The bosses decided everyone who has a court notice had to stay until the court case is over.
So while everyone in my squad is in court, I get to be the only person on the floor, and when cops come up with reports, I tell them,
"Well, I sould have people coming bank around 2pm." It's going to be like this for the next year if not further.
I am sure you Dredd telling them to wait ....

ReplyDeleteLoki - Nicely played.
ReplyDeleteMelP - As always, I'm the only one here while everyone else is in court and will likely go home afterward.
Here's a feel good moment. After 5 years:
