Stupid Questions

What the hell is President Bush thinking? Until he reverses his asinine decision to allow the United Arab Emirates access to our ports, I’m completely done with this guy!

Does anyone miss Howard Stern? Since jumping to satellite radio, he has fallen off the face of the earth.

Which DVD should I watch – for the first time - on my days off; Hellboy, King Arthur, or Underworld?

Will I choke from the pressure of tonight’s “must win” hockey game?

  1. Underworld.

Good luck tonight. Don't worry, I choked for you last night at my pistol league, so you should be all set for a big win!!!

  3. Bush is probably thinking on a much broader international relations scale than the folks who are screaming "ARABS!!!!!!" with no decent reasoning behind them.

I've got a bunch of posts with info on the port's management up. Check them out.

  4. I say we become isolationists again! Seriously though, I'm not thrilled about the financial influence of China and UAE in our ports. While both sides have valid arguments, I'm growing increasingly concerned about Bush's insiders doing things without his knowledge. Is it a Ronny Reagan type ploy or is he really that unknowing about the actions around him? I've never had much to criticize, but this has me buggered.

  5. I would say NOT King Arthur!
    Rent Excalibur instead!
Other than that, Underworld if your in the mood for a lot of action and tight leather but mediocre storyline. Hellboy if you are in the mood for lighthearted fun action. Okay, Okay, I liked Hellboy! It was fun.

So, when are we going to see Ultraviolet!

  6. Having seen one of my jobs outsourced in the past, I'd rather see an American company get the contract just from that standpoint alone. Or maybe I'm oversimplifying things, but I'm sick of seeing American jobs go overseas.

  7. CUG - One vote for Kate Beckinsale. Sorry about your choke.

Anon - Two votes for Vampires.

Triumvirate - 1/2 vote for Kate Beckinsale. 1/2 vote for ROn Perlman. Thanks! And welcome!

CP - I have a problem with any foreign corporations having a controlling interest in our ports. Especially if they are of the usually unfriendly variety (China, UAE, etc.)

Deathlok - I saw Excalibur many times. A little long, but I liked it. Tight leather will probably win out.

And yes, we are definitely seeing Ultraviolet!

    Rach - Agreed wholeheartedly.

  8. Hellboy was great, and funny! I think it was a great spoof on the superhero crap!

  9. Wyatt, they won't control the port, only 24 terminals in 7 ports, of a total of 869 terminals in those ports (2.76% of the total space in those ports).

BTW, the Chinese lease about 50% of the west coast terminal space. They have for years.
