If there's any justice, this film will die a brutally painful death.
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Joss Whedon, who had been developing a big-screen adaptation of DC Comics superhero Wonder Woman for Warner Bros. Pictures and Silver Pictures, parted ways with the studio and production company on the project.
Whedon announced the news on Friday on a fan site, chalking it up to creative differences. "I had a take on the film that, well, nobody liked," he wrote on www.whedonesque.com. Studio and agency sources confirmed the development. (H/T - Yahoo! News)
Preliminary reports had butt-ugly Sandra Bullock lined up for the lead role. Um, maybe it's just me, but a homely, flat-chested Wonder Woman would not exactly have fans rushing to the theaters. Personally, I would like to see Jennifer Connelly wearing the Stars and Stripes . . .
