Russia Not Afraid To Use Nukes

Apparently, those commie bastards forgot who lost the Cold War.

MOSCOW (Jan. 19) - Russia's military chief of staff said Saturday that Moscow could use nuclear weapons in preventive strikes to protect itself and its allies, the latest aggressive remarks from increasingly assertive Russian authorities.

Gen. Yuri Baluyevsky's comment did not mark a policy shift, military analysts said. Amid disputes with the West over security issues, it may have been meant as a warning that Russia is prepared to use its nuclear might.

"We do not intend to attack anyone, but we consider it necessary for all our partners in the world community to clearly understand ... that to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Russia and its allies, military forces will be used, including preventively, including with the use of nuclear weapons," Baluyevsky said at a military conference in a remark broadcast on state-run cable channel Vesti-24. There are two golden rules in military theory: never invade Russia, and never invade China. Unlike Bonaparte and Hitler, I think we have found these axioms to be true. And even if they weren't, who the hell would want to invade Russia, anyway? It's a backward-ass country that has reached the pinnacle of 19th century technology. They can have it.

The problem here is when Russia states it will protect its allies. Last time I checked, Putin and his cronies are rubbing elbows with Iran and Syria; nations keen on helping terrorists destroy Israel and the United States. And when they strike, Israel (and, possibly, its allies) will strike back. That's when it gets hairy. If Russia is lining up with that psychopath Ahmadinejad, we may have to smack them both on the nose with a rolled-up newspaper.

Luckily for us, President Bush has already implemented a plan to resurrect Ronald Reagan. "Reagan Smash!"
