Shuffling Off To Buffalo

SYLG will be closed today until approximately 4pm (EST). Why? Because I will be watching the NHL Winter Classic on NBC. Taking place in Buffalo, New York, the Winter Classic will see the Buffalo Sabres face off against the Pittsburgh Penguins inside Ralph Wilson Stadium, the home of the Buffalo Bills.

That's right; the game will be played outside.

The game is an annual event. and today is the first time it will be played inside the U.S. I just turned on the coverage, and - true to form - it's snowing. Sweet!

With all due respect to my Michigan Wolverines - who are playing Florida today in the Capital One Bowl - I'll be watching the Pens spank the Sabres. I'll check on the Wolverines during the commercials. This game is too special to miss.

UPDATE: WOW! WHAT A GAME!! The snow was falling throughout the game, both teams played hard, the stadium was jam-packed, and Sid the Kid ended the game in a shootout! !! Oh, and the Wolverines shocked Florida to win, too! Life is good.
