Philadelphia Detective Targeted For Death

God, I love my job!!!

PHILADELPHIA (CBS 3) ― A Philadelphia homicide detective and his family were targets of an alleged plot to kill that was launched from behind bars, sources said.

Sources have told CBS 3 that police are investigating if the detective and his family may have been targeted for death in an alleged plot that was apparently originated behind prison bars.

Terrence Snead, an accused killer, has been charged with dumping the body of man he murdered inside a North Philadelphia home and then setting the home on fire in 2006. Gerald Waters has also been charged with murder for allegedly gunning down a 24-year-old man.

Detectives are investigating if Snead and Waters, awaiting justice behinds bars in a Northeast Philadelphia facility, planned the murder of homicide detective who investigated both of their cases. Sources also said the alleged plan involved members of the detective's family.

Police are investigating allegations that the suspects discussed killing the detective. One of the suspects allegedly obtained an address and personal information of the detective and members of his family. (H/T - CBS3)

Before you ask, no I am not the detective involved. I only receive death threats from SYLG's readers.

Okay, this is not a laughing matter, since I know many homicide detectives. While the assassination plot is despicable, I can't stop thinking about how the suspects received the detective's personal information. The internet is a great thing, but unfortunately, it is relatively easy to find someone's personal information here. My guess - and it is only a guess at this point - is that these toads found the information on a site similar to ZabaSearch.

Thankfully, this plot was discovered in time, and hopefully any co-conspirators will be found and arrested.
