Hillary Clinton Is "Pro-Gun?"

Sure, and I am anti-death penalty. /Snark.

VALPARAISO, Ind. - Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton managed to co-opt Mr. Obama’s message of hope and optimism, beginning a speech in Valparaiso, Ind., by talking about how positive and “fundamentally optimistic” Americans are.

“I disagree with Senator Obama’s assertion that people in our country cling to guns and have certain attitudes about immigration or trade simply out of frustration,” she said.

You may want to wrap your skull in duct tape before reading this next sentence. You've been warned.

She described herself as a pro-gun churchgoer, recalling that her father taught her how to shoot a gun when she was a young girl and said that her faith “is the faith of my parents and my grandparents.” (H/T - The New York Times)

She's kidding, right? You see, this is why Hillary Clinton has no shot at beating Barack Obama for the Democrat nomination. Every time Obama says something stupid, Hillary tries to capitalize on his mistake . . . then says something even more stupid. What's worse is that when she tries to pander to her particular audience - middle-aged women with cankles - she is caught in yet another lie.

Someone needs to enact legislation that states if you are an elected official and want to run for another office, you must resign your current position. Had a law like that been in effect this year, Hillary would finally be gone forever. Unfortunately for us, after she gets trounced, we still have to deal with "Senator Clinton" for about 50 more years.
