Well, it stinks that vacation is gone, and it is even worse that I have to go back to work. I was getting used to running four miles one day then ten miles on the bicycle. Lots of friendly people there, the trails are nice, and it just seems better there. The concrete in Philly is usually cracked, and always good for tripping over it.
Kevin, for his part, took close to 200+ photos, if not more, the past two weeks, and he is really getting the hang of it. The kid has talent. I'll try to get some of his better photos on the blog by the end of the week.
The first two days were fabulous, then we had three straight days of rain. We did the best we could, but at least we got to two mini golf courses - I won the first, and Erik won the second.
Julia continued to ask if we could go to Dunkin' because she's a big coffee girl now. It's her thing.
The rental was amazing, and the only issue I had was being really cold. I think all the weight I lost made me feel much colder than normal. The missus spent most of the two weeks at the beach, and a family next to us was playing music near us. They were playing 80's music. The kids loved the music, and the family said we can turn up the volume if they we wanted.
We'll be going back to the Outer Banks next year, mostly because it's less expensive than New Jersey beaches. I don't mind the seven and a half hours to get there, the scenery is worth the trip.
