Pimpin' Ain't Easy

Does this look like a guy who pays for sex?

Wait a minute, wait a minute! You mean to tell me that a Louisiana politician is less than ethical? The hell you say!
Sen. David Vitter, R-La., apologized Monday night for "a very serious sin in my past" after his telephone number appeared among those associated with an escort service operated by the so-called "D.C. Madam."

Vitter's
spokesman, Joel Digrado, confirmed the statement in an e-mail sent to The Associated Press.

"This was a very serious sin in my past for which I am, of course, completely responsible," Vitter said in the statement. "Several years ago, I asked for and received forgiveness from God and my wife in confession and marriage counseling. Out of respect for my family, I will keep my discussion of the matter there — with God and them. But I certainly offer my deep and sincere apologies to all I have disappointed and let down in any way."

Why do politicians invoke God only when they get into trouble? When things are sunshine and lollipops, the Beltway insiders are busy tearing down the Ten Commandments from public buildings. Then, (literally) BAM!, they become a regular Ned Flanders. Look Dave, if you wanted The Big Guy's help, you should have thought of that before you were giving some whore the ol' kielbasa.

Look, I have to pay for sex; I'm fat and disturbingly ugly. You are a rich, young politician. Couldn't you find a lusty young intern instead?
