Best. Show. On. Television. And tonight's season premiere just solidified that fact.
Feel free to discuss.
Time to break out the Battlestar Galactica Underoos! The new (and final) season begins on Friday, April 4th at 10pm on the Sci-Fi Channel.
This guy's last name is Darwin? How ironic!LONDON, England (CNN) -- A British man who reappeared five years after he was thought to have drowned in a canoeing accident has been arrested on suspicion of fraud, police confirmed Wednesday. In my opinion, the arrest is a mere footnote here. The man was missing for five years, presumed dead, and then suddenly reappeared? While this remains a mystery to London Police, I think I have the answer.
Police, who are trying to piece together the movements of John Darwin over the last five years, have made a public appeal for information over his whereabouts.
The 57-year-old was presumed dead in 2002 after he went missing after going canoeing in the North Sea off the coastal town of Seaton Carew, in northeast England. (H/T - CNN.com)
The best show on television will air its final season in 2008.LOS ANGELES, June 2 (UPI) -- The Sci-Fi Channel's Peabody Award-winning and critically acclaimed series "Battlestar Galactica" is coming to a close.I wish I knew what to say, but words escape me. It is a dark day for television, because its arguably best series is saying goodbye. On the other hand, it will go out while it is on top - fresh and cutting edge. I have tried to explain the series to people who are not really into sci-fi, and it's difficult at best; impossible at worst. It is so much more than science fiction. It is so much better than the original campy 70's series. It is much better written than 99 percent of the series' out there.
Although the show's ending was not officially announced until Friday, "Battlestar Galactica's" executive producers, Ron Moore and David Eick, said they began feeling several months ago the show was nearing its end, Zap2it.com reported.
"This is a decision that took some time to arrive at, and like all decisions this large, there were a number of questions we had internally and a creative agenda we wanted to serve. I think we all had to collectively decide when we wanted to be definitive about it. That time is now," Eick says.
Although Sci-Fi reportedly was not exactly thrilled with the idea of giving up the show, Moore said once he and Eick made their case, the network didn't stand in their way. (H/T - UPI)
The Anaheim Ducks defeated the Detroit Red Wings tonight to advance to the Stanley Cup Finals. This is terrific news in the Earp household, since I despise the Detroit Red Wings. Hockeytown my arse!
Here are a few interesting things from my blog pals:
Lucy Lawless as a Cylon? Good choice!
I don't know why everyone is always picking on the Air Force. With sergeants like this, the Iraq War would be much more popular!
The new season of Battlestar Galactica starts tonight at 9pm on the Sci-Fi Channel. Giddyup!

Cylons? Yeah, I guess they have some good ideas.
